The 1993 a ruling centered on the Church of the Lukumi Babalu Aye's lawsuit against the city of Hialeah. The Regla de Ocha (Santeria) church wanted to convert a empty car lot into a place of worship. But the city would not allow it, and after the public protest, it passed laws banning animal sacrifices. The city argued that the law didn't target Santeria or any religious practices. Their purpose was simply to enforced the laws of public health and safety standards. Initial the city won and a federal district judge sided with the city, arguing that the local laws did not intentionally oppose any religious freedoms. But the Supreme Court reversed those decisions, and ruled in favor of the church. The freedom of spiritual religion was granted to "Ifa" "Regla de Ocha" "Santeria"

Animal meal celebrations is central to "IFA" "Regla e ocha" "Santeria".

"Regla de Ocha" "IFA""Santeria" will no longer use or refer to the word "sacrifice" as offerings for or to the "Orichas". but will
be refer to it as "THE MEAL OF THE ORICHA". A celebration meal. This celebration meal will be prepared by the house
Babalawo. The preparation will follow all state and city law ordinance. The animal is and will be slaughtered as food, rather than
for any obscure mystical purpose. Followers of an Orisha will offer the Oricha food by preparing a animal meal celebration. Once
the animal is slaughtered during the spiritual prayer and then prepared. The house members will eat from the celebration meal
and will offer the Oricha a plate of this fantastic feast. This is done in order to build and maintain a personal relationship with the
